There is a huge focus on local online marketing these days, with the enormous success of Groupon, Living Social, and other coupon services, as well as the growth of Foursquare as a viable local marketing platform over the last year or so. This article from Reuters talks about this trend. These kinds of deals might be worth pursuing for a local business, but they should be carefully considered because they might bring problems as well as sales.
